Kazakhstan in UN Security Council

According to Bolivian Ambassador to the United Nations Sacha Sergio Lorenti, members of the UN Security Council highlighted Kazakhstan’s role and activities in advancing the interests of all states of Central Asia. He says that the formation of the Central Asian region in the peace, cooperation and security zone will lead other states by example. Kazakhstan’s priorities in the UN Security Council which are described  in President Nursultan Nazarbayev's political appeal, include the establishment of a regional peace zone in Central Asia.

 - Bolivia is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. Our presence in the council with Kazakhstan, we appreciate the leadership that Kazakhstan has, not just in central Asia but in global affairs. Now with Kazakhstan’s presidency we have a very full agenda that mainly addresses the most important issues that the council has to deal with, preventive diplomacy.
