Volunteers of Zhas Otan to implement over 100 projects by end of 2020
Support provided to the population of Kazakhstan with food products, masks and sanitizers - volunteers of the Zhas Otan Youth Organization under the Nur Otan party are planning to implement more than 100 charitable projects by the end of the year. To date, nearly 5,000 volunteers take part in their campaigns. They have already provided all possible assistance to health workers fighting for the lives of Kazakh residents from the first days of the spread of the novel coronavirus. They delivered ventilators and oxygen cylinders to the medical facilities of the country. In total, nearly 7,000 medical workers and more than 100 hospitals received volunteer support from them. In addition, 100,000 families from Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Shymkent, received five million medical masks. This is far from all the help and support that volunteers provide to their compatriots in Kazakhstan.
“Zhas Otan Youth Organization has 17 branches in all regions of Kazakhstan. Its members provided very active assistance during the floods in the Maktaaral district of Turkistan region. The volunteer headquarters was set up there. Zhas Otan members provided targeted assistance to those in need. In addition, our members provide social assistance to families in need, homefront workers and veterans of World War Two not only this year, but on an ongoing basis, under the projects ‘Ardagerlerdi Ardaktau’ (Honoring War Veterans), ‘Safe City’ and ‘Mektepke Zhol’ (Road to School),” said Nurzina Kydyralina, Head of Youth Projects and Analytics Department in Zhas Otan.
