Kazakhstan reinforces quarantine measures

A strict quarantine is imposed in Bulayevo, a town in Magzhan Zhumabayev District of North Kazakhstan region. The authorities are afraid of coronavirus spread, because 24 people have already been infected since October 1 in the administrative center located on the border with Russia. 15 out of them are residents of the town.

Four checkpoints were established in the town, completely stopping the passenger traffic to contain the virus that keeps spreading in the district. Residents are advised from visiting each other, and minors were banned from going out without their parents after 7 p.m. The elderly are advised to observe the isolation as in the last quarantine. The working day was reduced from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for business entities with the area of over 500 square meters in the district.

Sanitary and epidemiological measures were reinforced in the cities of the national significance as well. Quarantine in Shymkent was extended until October 26. Nur-Sultan and Almaty cities also prepare for the second wave of coronavirus.
