New anti-corruption service center opens in Kazakh capital
Eradicate domestic corruption, ensure comfortable conditions in the provision of public services and establish a truly working public control – such ambitious goals are set by the new anti-corruption service center ‘Antikor Ortalygy’. It was created as part of the implementation of the concept of the responsive government. The initiators say that the new center will provide a platform for the anti-corruption service to interact with the public, in other words, it will establish communication with Kazakh population. The employees of the center are literally for the transparency of the work. The open space format speaks to this too - they work in glass-enclosed offices, where an atmosphere of transparency and trust was created. The project ‘Interactive map of open budgets’ was also presented on that day. It will enable every Kazakh citizen to monitor online the spending of budgetary funds of state institutions. Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov said that this experience should be widely incorporated into the work of other state bodies as well.
