Eid al-Adha to last from July 31 to August 2
Zu al-Hijjah, a very sacred month in the Islamic calendar, began today. The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK) said that it is necessary to do more good deeds these days. Eid al-Adha holiday is celebrated from July 31 to August 2 this year.
The holiday falls on the quarantine period that was declared due to the coronavirus pandemic, so the SAMK took steps to avoid crowds during these days. The sacrifice can be performed online at home. For this purpose, a special website will be launched to accept applications. Technical details of the platform are currently being worked out.
“A customer will receive detailed information about the work process. The most important thing is that people will have the opportunity to stay home, not to contact people and perform the sacrifice online in the pandemic conditions,” reported the SAMK.
One of the main advantages of the website is that it shows the price of livestock for the sacrifice. Animal meat will be distributed to those in need. You can submit an application on Qurban2020.muftyat.kz website.
“We have to make every effort to celebrate the great Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha at the proper level. The sacrifice plan for this year has not yet been determined due to the unstable epidemiological situation in the country. However, we must look for alternative solutions. Sacrifice can be replaced with donations,” said representative of the SAMK.
