Free online arts and sports classes for children of health workers launch in Kazakhstan
Children of health workers in Kazakhstan now can gain knowledge in the areas of arts and sports within the framework of the summer educational project 'Leisure for the Good'. They can learn how to play dombyra, piano, violin and guitar or take pop singing, painting and acting classes, as well as do freestyle or classical wrestling, judo, gymnastics, boxing and taekwondo. Online classes are designed for adolescents from nine to 15 years old, the press office of the 'Qazaqconcert' State Concert Organization reported.
"The current pandemic has taught everyone to appreciate the work of medical workers even more. Many health workers are fighting on the front lines, risking their health and saving thousands of lives. They cannot, as before, spend time at home with their families. In addition, families and children of medical workers are going through equally difficult period, since the latter now do not have the opportunity to engage in the development and education of their children. In this regard, Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Sports is launching a summer educational project for the children of health workers called 'Leisure for the Good', which will enable children to gain new knowledge and engage in self-improvement in an online format," the message says.
In addition, a new platform https://taplink.cc/mcs.govrk has been created for children, where they will be able to independently choose classes of interest. All they need is to fill out a form and go through authorization, after which the students receive a subject timetable.
"The new educational project 'Leisure for the Good' will help children learn and develop online during the quarantine holidays. The support of children will undoubtedly have a beneficial effect on the work of their parents, who make everyday exploits for the health of citizens of the whole country," the press office said.
