Kazakhstan extends application deadline for higher education grants
According to Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science, the deadline for document submission needed to take part in competition for educational grants will be extended. They will be accepted until July 25 instead of July 20 to make it convenient for applicants during the quarantine.
For this purpose, an applicant should submit an application on a prescribed form, a certificate of education, a copy of an identity card via website of e-government Egov.kz. Health certificates are temporarily suspended.
Since the certificate with results of high school graduation examination is issued online, it automatically appears in the system. There is no need to upload the certificate on Egov.kz.
An electronic certificate of educational grant will be issued based on the results of the competition. Applicants do not need to physically go anywhere to receive it, Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science warns.
According to the Ministry, the rules for awarding educational grants remained unchanged. Applicants participate in the competition based on the results of the high school graduation examination held in June. This year, educational grants are not tied to the language of instruction.
Enrollment of applicants to higher education institutions will be held from August 10-25.
The universities will operate in a distance learning format. The traditional educational format will be offered on an individual schedule for laboratory work, industrial training and professional practice.
