Kazakh Health Ministry adopts new sanitary requirements for railway travel
Train tickets are available to buy today. Starting from June 1, domestic railway traffic is planned to be resumed in stages in Kazakhstan. New sanitary quarantine requirements were adopted for this purpose.
Now passengers will not be allowed to train stations without medical masks and tickets. They must come without company. This was stated by Chief State Sanitary Doctor for transport Sadvakas Baigabulov.
Embarkation and disembarkation of people will be carried out only at principal stations. Before the trip, the employees will measure everyone’s temperature and conduct a survey on the road. Passengers are banned from walking between wagons; they are not recommended to go outside during the journey as well. Each train should have air conditioning.
If the wagons do not meet sanitary standards, they will not be released from the depot. All station and train personnel will be required to wear gloves and face masks. Conductors should not have a shortage of medicines and antiseptics in their first-aid kits.
“Medical examination with measurement of body temperature is provided for station and train employees before shift or before trip. In the future, in case of stabilization of the incidence of coronavirus infection, mitigation requirements will be revised in the regions,” added Sadvakas Baigabulov.
