Virtual exhibition “Kazakhstan soldiers in the battle of Stalingrad” opens for 75th anniversary of Great Victory
Materials presented in the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan show the history of one of the bloodiest battles in the Second World War.
The unique archival documents were brought from collections of the “Battle of Stalingrad” museum-reserve in Volgograd. Organizers said that it is important to preserve the historical memory and tell the future generations of Kazakhstan about the battle’s heroes.
“The victory in the great battle allowed to achieve a fundamental breakthrough in the war. Nearly 500,000 valiant soldiers of the Red Army died, including Kazakhstan warriors,” said the representative of the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan.
