Kazakhstan passes Victory relay to Kyrgyzstan
Border guards of Kazakhstan passed the symbol of the Victory relay to Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony was held at the interstate checkpoint. Earlier, a symbolic capsule with a miniature model of a border pillar passed through Kazakhstan along the route: Oskemen, Kurchum, Zaisan, Makanchi, Usharal, Zharkent, Chundzha, Almaty and Kordai. The capsule will stay for several days in Kyrgyzstan, then it will be transferred to Tajikistan.
The international campaign dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Second World War started in Russia on February 5. It runs along the external borders of nine states: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The capsule will be transported to the places of the fiercest battles of WWII. The length of the path is almost 70,000 kilometers. The commemorative marathon will end on May 28 in Moscow at the war memorial “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.”
