Hospital Construction for COVID-19 Patients Begins in 3 Cities of Kazakhstan
Construction of three infectious hospitals for patients with coronavirus has begun in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent. According to the real estate developer, concrete works were completed in the capital and the installation of modular design has started.
“The construction process is round-the-clock. As of April 6, the laying of engineering structures is 90 percent complete. The installation of modules for the future hospital has begun,” said real estate developers.
Modular units intended for the construction of a residential complex were given to the hospital in Nur-Sultan. This technology of accelerated housing construction will allow the hospital to operate for a long time in severe climate conditions.
At the same time, a residential unit was brought from Atyrau to Almaty and is supposed to operate for more than ten years.
“The hospital will allow us to timely identify, isolate and treat infected people. We can significantly reduce the risk of the infection spread and stabilize the epidemiological situation in the city,” commented Almaty Mayor Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
The hospital in Shymkent will be built of containers with separate ventilation system as it was in Uzbekistan.
The construction of the hospitals should be completed in the shortest term.
