Restrictions on Movement Come into Force in Nur-Sultan
Restrictions on movement in the quarantined city of Nur-Sultan have come into force. The city residents are limited to move around the Kazakh capital on foot, by public transport and personal vehicles between March 30 and April 6.
Some exceptions for leaving a house are traveling to work (necessary documents proving employment may be requested by police); shopping for groceries and medicine in the close proximity to a place of residence or work; traveling to a hospital in case of an emergency; pet walking in the close proximity to the place of residence. Grocery shops and convenience stores will remain open between 10:00 and 20:00.
Nur-Sultan city police department will take appropriate administrative measures in case of violation or non-fulfillment of the above requirements established for the period of the state of emergency and quarantine. Street patrolling has been reinforced in order to prevent citizens from being in public places, parks, squares, etc.
Nur-Sultan remains in lockdown since March 19.
