Laboratory Testing Center has Opened in Nur-Sultan
Over 7,000 studies and expertise of medicines and medical products will be conducted in the capital every year. The center for laboratory testing has been presented which meets the world standards.
The Kazakh Healthcare Minister and international experts have been introduced to the work of the center. Microbiological, physical and chemical studies will be conducted to test effectiveness, safety and quality of domestic and foreign medicines.
The research will be carried out in laboratories equipped with latest technologies. This is the seventh laboratory of this kind in Kazakhstan.
“Our goal is to show Kazakhs that all the conditions for ensuring safety are available, specifically, when registering, importing and certifying the medicines. The pharmaceutical products are tested for any side effects. These laboratories are created in order to check the medical products and take measures in case of detecting a problem. In total, in our country we had six laboratories of this kind. This is the seventh new lab that meets the world standards of the Good Laboratory Practice. We plan to be accredited. For this purpose, our international colleagues have arrived here,” said Kazakh Healthcare Minister, Yelzhan Birtanov.
“I expect this laboratory to become a leader among all the other labs. It’s common that Kazakhstan has other laboratories and we expect close and mutually beneficial cooperation between our lab centers. We also hope to see the cooperation’s reinforcement and development in different areas of regulation of drug distribution,” said Spokesperson of Kyrgyz Ministry of Healthcare, Chinara Mambetaliyeva.
