Nur-Sultan to Host Christmas Charity Bazaar 2019
A Christmas Bazaar with environmental message will be held in Nur-Sultan on December 1st by the Association of Ambassadors’ Spouses in Kazakhstan.
The association has traditionally organized the good and kind event annually. The number of participants increases every year. At the upcoming 12th event, 53 countries will present their local products.
This year, the organizers will promote eco-trends at the event. For example, visitors will be encouraged to attend the fair by using public transport and reduce the usage of plastic bags.
The main agenda of the event is the lottery. The organizers will send all the income to charity.
“It is special because we have many goods spot from our respective countries, we have members now from 53 different countries all over the world, from South America to China, from Finland to Venezuela, this is really makes it unique that you can really get for example original Swiss cheese imported from Switzerland, you can get Israeli facial treatments imported directly from Israel so it’s really original what you get there,” said President of Ambassadors’ Spouses Association, Luzia Sebesta Schmid.
“We have some souvenirs from Iran and also our Iraqi cookie, so we present from dessert to meals, salads, everything cooked by materials from here and also from Iraq, but cooking Iraqi traditional dishes. You know, a big participating of every country and everybody wants to represent his country and beautiful picture to Kazakh people,” said Spouse of Iranian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Boushra Al-Zubaidi.
