Kazakhstan to Mark 750th Anniversary of Golden Horde
Kazakhstan will mark the 750th anniversary of the Golden Horde for the first time. Preparations for the event have begun.
The Khan Orda settlement in Karagandy region and the Zhoshy Khan mausoleum will be restored for the 750th anniversary. The mausoleum is planned to be included in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Experts are confident that the Zhoshy Khan mausoleum can become one of sightseeing places.
Since the beginning of the year, 30,000 tourists have visited the Karagandy region, 3,000 of which were foreigners.
“The main goal is to promote the state-of-the-nation address of the Head of State as well as to meet the people. Next year we will celebrate the 750th anniversary of Golden Horde,” said Kazakh Vice Minister of Culture and Sports, Nurkisa Dauyeshov.
