OSCE Studies Experience of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan
OSCE representatives are studying the Kazakhstan model of interethnic harmony. Successful experience of the country in maintaining racial harmony is very important for the international community.
The significance of the Kazakhstan model of social harmony and also of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was discussed at a meeting of Kazakhstan’s Ethnic Assembly members with the OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities, Lamberto Zannier.
Foreign guests were also acquainted with the activities of the House of Friendship in Nur-Sultan.
Currently, the Assembly unites over a thousand ethnocultural associations.
“This is important to look for successful models because these models are the ones that assist the international community and find recipes to strengthen the resilience of societies to conflict. Also, there is a very active engagement of representatives of the Assembly in a number of events that we organized in OSCE, where the delegations showed active participation,” said High Commissioner for OSCE National Minorities, Lamberto Zannier.
The Kazakhstan model was presented to the HCNM and it received very good ratings. The development of all relations is primarily based on the value relations and this is what connects the representatives of different ethnic groups in Kazakhstan, said Head of Center for Inter-Ethnic and Inter-Confessional Relations, Aigul Sadvokasova.
