Kazakh TV has appointed Maya Bekbayeva as the new director of the channel
Born on February 12, 1979 in Semey, East Kazakhstan region, she graduated from high school with Honors. She continued her studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, majoring in international journalism. She earned a Red Diploma with the highest distinction.
Maya Bekbayeva started her journalism career at the age of 12 when she worked as a correspondent for the ‘Puls Vremeni’ newspaper. She joined television in 2000 as a journalist before becoming a news presenter of Shahar TV in Almaty.
In 2005, she worked as a journalist for ‘Tan TV’ in Almaty and was then promoted to Chief Editor of the channel.
In 2009, Maya joined ‘Kazakhstan’ Republican TV and Radio Corporation and three years later in 2012 she joined Channel Seven.
Since 2016, she became a presenter of a number of programs on the various channels of Khabar Agency.
Maya is married with two children.
Kazakh TV is one of Kazakhstan’s major national satellite television channels. The channel began broadcasting on October 25, 2002 under the name Caspionet.
The television channel airs unique contents about Kazakhstan’s modern-day developments, society, events as well as culture, traditions and history to the world.
