Foreign experts: Kazakhstan’s presidential elections will ensure stability in the country

Kazakhstan’s snap presidential elections will ensure the successful and smooth transition of power in the Central Asian country, said a representative of German Bundestag’s committee on foreign affairs, Andreas Jahn.

“We welcome these elections as a democratic process. I have visited Kazakhstan as an observer and I believe that the election will be successful.”

“Kazakhstan plays an important role in the world today as the country made a significant contribution to the settlement of the Syrian conflict by hosting the Astana Process. We hope that the new president will conduct the same foreign policy and will set forward global peaceful initiatives,” Jahn added.

Meanwhile, members of the Georgian Parliament believe that the snap elections will help strengthen Kazakhstan’s position in the world.

One of the members, David Chichinadze said Kazakhstan’s economic accomplishments are impressive under the leadership of the First President, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

“I believe that the existing political developments should be continued,” he said.

South Korean political expert, Kim Sang Chol believed that Kazakhstan’s upcoming snap presidential elections would promote the development of democratic processes in the country as well as contribute to its economic growth.

“President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has promised to hold fair and open elections. The Kazakh people’s participation is crucial because the real leader emerges only with the people’s support,” he said.

Kazakhstan will hold it's snap presidential elections on June 9th.
