Educational Reforms to Be Continued

The measures introduced at the Nur Otan Party’s 18th congress are aimed to support the younger generation in Kazakhstan.

Kazakh public figures, political experts and teachers opined that the latest initiatives will support and encourage the youth to strive for new achievements.

The new program, which will be implemented until 2030, covers important social development including support for the youth and improvement of the society’s well-being.

International Kazakh – Turkish University rector, Bolatbek Abdrasilov said that the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev has always paid great attention to the improvement of the overall lives of the society, including support for youth, large families, disabled people and pensioners.

“These target groups have always been prioritized by the party since 20 years ago. I think that our new program will be a great contribution in solving social challenges,” he added.

Meanwhile, Nur Otan Party member Astana branch Sholpan Eshkeyeva said the new program reflects social and economic reforms.

“It means that the work will be aimed at the social sector. The younger generation is also anticipating new beginnings,” she said.  

Nur Otan, which is Kazakhstan’s ruling party, held its 18th congress in Astana on Feb.27, 2018.

The meeting was chaired by President Nazarbayev, who is also Nur Otan party leader and attended by 1,179 delegates.
