Large touristic project will be developed in Mangystau region

A large touristic project is set to be implemented in the Mangystau region. A recreational touristic zone will be developed in one of the deepest depressions of the world, Karagiye in the locality of Aschisor. Local officials suggested building a canal from the Caspian Sea to fill the area of almost 300 square kilometres with water. In the future, hotels will be built and beaches will be made on the artificial shore of the reservoir. The project’s preliminary cost is over 60 billion tenge.


 - The feasibility study will reveal the results and provide answers to the questions that are actively discussed in social media, mass media and also among non-governmental organizations about the possible risks and the ways to reduce them.
