Astana is hosting the fourth congress of neurosurgeons

Astana is hosting the fourth congress of neurosurgeons. It also hosted the International Forum, which brought together representatives from more than 30 countries around the world. Leading experts in neurosurgery exchanged best practices and shared the latest research results. World-renowned professors Yoko Kato and Shlomi Constantini conducted 3D lectures and plenary sessions for the forum participants. Experts highlighted that Kazakhstan has extensively developed the industry. In 10 years, more than 20,000 operations were performed in the National Center of Neurosurgery and nearly 37,000 people were treated.  The most complex operations are performed on the brain and spinal cord, spine as well as vascular and oncological diseases. The country is actively developing equipment for neurosurgery. Local developers presented a navigation system that helps to point the body structure.

 - The main goal of our neurosurgery center is not to send patients abroad, but to provide assistance here in our country. In the past 10 years of the center's activity, more than 70 new technologies have been introduced. A number of complicated operations were conducted on local patients and over 250 foreign patients. This is a great indicator for us. This level is not only the center of non-surgery, but also the level of domestic medicine and the country.
