Medical tourism development
Kazakh healthcare facilities are adopting Turkey’s experience in the field of medical tourism. Representatives of the Turkish Healthcare Travel Council (THTC) are planning to open a medical tourism school in Kazakhstan that will help local specialists develop this sector. According to experts, today Kazakh doctors can provide services in dentistry and organ transplantation. Foreign citizens may also be interested in heart surgeries and in vitro fertilization which is much more expensive in other countries. Experts said that there are many clinics in Kazakhstan that are ready for the massive flow of foreign patients. Citizens of neighboring countries such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) may be the potential clients of the Kazakh clinics.
