Kazakhstan prepares to send its fourth peacekeeping company to Lebanon. According to the established deadlines, the third rotation of the military is scheduled for August this year. This became known during a hardware meeting held online in Kazakh Ministry of Defense.
“In accordance with the decision of the United Nations, the rotation of the Kazakhstan peacekeeping contingent will be carried out in August this year,” said the statement of the Kazakh Defense Ministry.
The first 120 Kazakh soldiers of the peacekeeping company were sent to Lebanon at the end of October 2018. They participated in the Indian battalion during the mission. Their duties include working at roadblocks, inspecting vehicles for the transportation of prohibited items and weapons, patrolling the entrusted territory and other tasks.
