Kazakh Ambassador to Romania speaks about Kazakhstan’s development in interview with Romanian newspaper
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Romania Nurbakh Rustemov in an interview with the ‘Nine O’Clock’ Romanian newspaper said that the concept of the responsive government introduced by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev includes not only measures to increase the mutual trust and improve dialogue between the government and society, but also strengthening protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Kazakh citizens. Rustemov explained in detail the importance of reforms conducted in Kazakhstan.
“Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed a series of political reforms in Kazakhstan aimed at liberalizing the political life,” Rustemov said.
He noted that the draft Law on Peaceful Assemblies is the first document developed under the Presidential initiatives.
“The improvement of the legislation on peaceful assemblies is included in the first package of reforms, along with other priority bills, such as those on political parties, elections, the media, trade unions, the Parliament and the status of its members, as well as on local state administration and self-government,” Rustemov emphasized.
