Kazakhstan does not need humanitarian aid, says EU
Kazakhstan does not need humanitarian aid, because it is among the upper middle-income countries. This was announced by Josep Borrell, the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, reported Kazakh Foreign Ministry. Turkmenistan will not receive the financial support for the same reason.
The EU plans to allocate its partner countries more than 20 billion euros (over US$21 billion) to fight against coronavirus pandemic. The funds will be sent to Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, the Caribbean and other states. Among Central Asian countries, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will receive the package.
