National Mourning Day Declared in Iran and Ukraine

Iran and Ukraine have declared Thursday as the day of national mourning over the plane crash victims. Ukraine International Airlines’ Boeing-737 aircraft crashed on Wednesday morning near Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport, killing all 176 people on board, including 9 crew members. Based on preliminary investigations, the incident happened due to engine failure. The plane was schedule to fly to Kiev but disappeared from radar screens two minutes after take-off.
