Ukrainian Politicians Hailed Nursultan Nazarbayev as a Wise Leader

Former Ukrainian President, Leonid Kuchma believes that decisions made by the First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev have always been far-sighted and serve as a good example for many politicians worldwide.

The second President of Ukraine recalled that during his leadership term, he had sought for Nazarbayev’s wise advice multiple times.

“I learned a lot from Nursultan Nazarbayev. He is a great statesman and a wise person. We used to make quick decisions and experience the consequences afterwards. However, Nazarbayev has never done so as he put a lot of thought before making any decisions.”

“He is primarily interested in ensuring peace and stability in Kazakhstan. Nursultan Nazarbayev is a great friend for Ukraine. The majority of Ukrainians and particularly I see him as a close friend,” Kuchma said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian politician Kostyantyn Gryshchenko believes that Kazakhstan’s First President is a unique leader whose historical decisions hail the start of a new stage of Kazakhstan’s development.

He said Kazakhstan is effectively using its natural and human capital assets, and as part of the development strategy initiated by Nazarbayev, Kazakhs have become more confident in the world stage as thousands of the young generations were educated in the best Western universities.

The young generations are now contributing to the country by working in different economic sectors and Government agencies.

“Nazarbayev helped to establish a very important foundation for the further stages of Kazakhstan’s modernization. I think that Kazakhstan’s First President will help define the political agenda with his wise advice and recommendations in the many years to come,” Gryshchenko said.

Gryshchenko served in a number of senior positions in the Ukrainian Government, ranging from Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Secretary of National Security and Defense Council Ukraine. He also served as Ukrainian Ambassador in several countries worldwide.
