IT projects on Kazakh language in latin script presented in Astana
IT projects aimed at promotion of the Latin script were presented in Astana. The projects include Qazlatyn.kz online service, which provides full information on the stages of Kazakh language’s transition to the new script. The online service also contains research works on the correct spelling. As part of the project, the online search system ‘Sozdikgor.kz’ was also launched to provide explanations of the words in the Kazakh language.

-We developed an online dictionary of the words in the Kazakh language. At the moment, there are more than 300,000 word definitions at the website, including audio sounds. The words are currently going through editing. We will continue adding more words to the dictionary.
An online platform on the content and structure of the Kazakh terminology is a comprehensive project aimed at explaining the Latin script to a wider segment of population. As part of the platform, a web service titled Tilqural was also presented online.

-In 2019, our center is planning to educate people on the new Latin script and train specialists who will teach the people. We will train 9,038 specialists from the Ministry of Education and Science and 2,400 specialists from the Ministry of Culture and Sports during a training session in Astana.
Developers prepared a 3D cartoon film which will help children learn the Latin script faster. Another animated film titled ‘Selten Seri’ will be presented for younger audiences soon. Educators also came up with games aimed at learning the Latin script.
