In his article the ‘Seven Facets of the Great Steppe,’ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted that becoming a part of national history forms a feeling of unity of origins. Experts say that the president’s publication has become a powerful incentive for the implementation of important projects to uncover ancient secrets and mysteries. A new archaeological center was opened in Pavlodar as part of the Modernization of Kazakhstan’s Identity program. Its main goal is to promote Kazakhstan’s historical and cultural heritage. Research will be conducted in archeology, ethnology and local history.

The article of the head of state is a powerful incentive for us to study the nomadic civilization. The president pays special attention to the need to recreate a full-scale picture of history and culture of the great steppe. In this regard, we plan to open a special laboratory for research of ancient technologies.

History is very rich for interesting events. Having studied it, we can understand not only the history of the Irtysh region, but, in general, the history of the Kazakh Khanate and the history of relationships.

Scientists highlight that the President’s article, ‘Seven Facets of the Great Steppe,’ opens up new horizons. Recently, archaeologists in the Irtysh region made a number of sensational discoveries, including the ‘Golden Mane’ temple and the ancient Auliyekol settlement with unique traces of palace culture. The artifacts are being studied in close cooperation with foreign scientists.
