The Hill: Kazakhstan’s role in Central Asia
Ariel Cohen, director of the Center for Energy, Natural Resources and Geopolitics, at the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security published an article about Nursultan Nazarbayev's visit to America in The Hill, American political newspaper. According to the political scientist, bordering both China and Russia, Kazakhstan is a key country in the heart of Eurasia.
To quote Ariel Cohen’s statement on cooperation between Kazakhstan and the U.S., “Trump and Nazarbayev, who appear to have good chemistry, declared that the two countries will enter an Enhanced Strategic Partnership.”
The expert claims that the U.S. president Donald Trump’s visit for a C5 +1 dialogue summit (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the U.S.) would be a move in the right direction.
