Kazakhstan plans to use AI in fight against COVID-19
The Kazakh Health Ministry posted on social media that Kazakhstan will use the artificial intelligence from the Silicon Valley in the fight against COVID-19.
As the statement noted, Semey Medical University and the American company XLabs signed an agreement on the use of the scientific development in Kazakhstan on the initiative of the Kazakh Consulate General in San Francisco.
The goal of this project is to analyze more accurately the data on the epidemiological situation around the world, including Kazakhstan. The AI will also help develop more effective prevention methods of the disease spread among the population.
“The participation in the project opens up a number of advantages for our country. First, the most relevant and effective pandemic control measures will be available. Secondly, we will gain experience in collecting and analyzing large amounts of data,” said the statement.
XLabs has been engaged for many years in the development of the AI for the application of its capabilities in medicine. The scientific development of the company can successfully diagnose over 30 different diseases, including various forms of cancer.
