Digital transformation in agriculture

Scientists of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University created an electronic map of mineral fertilizer. The map will monitor parameters such as soil fertility, its yield and composition. According to the rector of the university, Akhylbek Kurishbayev the creation of this map made it possible to understand reasons behind the low yield of some fields. He said the low yields are due to the very low level of nitrogen and phosphorus content in the soil that affected the soil fertility.

 - The University should not only do academic teaching, but also research and development. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture has declared our university as the center of agro digital transformation. We now supervise four areas and nine pilot farm projects. We will implement our latest developments, including a map of mineral fertilization.

Domestic specialists are ready to adopt the foreign experience of agricultural digital transformation. Germany is considered to be one of the most advanced countries in this area. The Kazakh-German forum on the digital transformation of agriculture was organized at the university in order to obtain the best experience from Germany.
