38 billion tenge will be invested into modernization and digital transformation of production in Aktobe region

Modernization and digital transformation of production will take place at the 25 large industrial, oil and gas enterprises in western Kazakhstan. This year, 38 billion tenge will be invested into the Aktobe region. The program is designed for the next few years. Until 2021, 500 billion tenge will be invested into the renovation of all 100 enterprises and companies. For example, the region’s city-forming factories will introduce innovative hydrogen engines to improve the production of chrome compounds. The region takes the leading place in the world for chromium reserves. The work on the introduction of 18 innovative technologies of Astana EXPO 2017 will continue. The plants will switch to renewables.


- In 2018, we set the goal to additionally modernize the 25 enterprises. The main goal is to sign a joint road map between the Mayor’s office and large enterprises that sets the time of replacement of equipment. It is very important to conduct this reconcilement for the professional preparation.

Significant changes will affect the existing mineral enrichment plant. The company specializes mainly in the extraction and processing of copper and copper-zinc ores. Last year over 5 million tonnes of copper concentrate were processed. The company plans to double the productivity by 2019.


- This will contribute to the increase in the volume of lotation?, the growth in the pump park of equipment and to an additional release of zinc concentrate. As part of the production, implementation of the management of technological equipment to the top level is expected, which involves the launch and installation of equipment with a click of a computer mouse. We will get a reduction in the cost of the products.

The 20 enterprises of the region already underwent modernization in the past year. According to experts, the companies have become more competitive. Labor productivity has increased and most importantly the cost of production has decreased. According to experts, the forthcoming modernization and digital transformation will be the key to successful diversification of the region.
