Development of Information Technologies is picking up in Kazakhstan. Introduction of innovations in everyday life is one of the important tasks of the student design bureau in Kyzylorda State University. Young scientists have created their first robot – a dog. The robot dog is designed for public safety purposes. In the future, after improvement of the new development, the robot named Aktos will be able to recognize smells, light, sound, temperature and people.

 - When it was created, we explained to students what a robot was and demonstrated how to assemble it. The process is complex. With the help of a 3D printer, we first deigned the robot's body, then we assembled the circuit, and then we gave the robot dog the name of "Aktos".

The educational processes of the university are automated through the portal E-univer. The programs developed by IT specialists of the university are included in the training program. In the future, together with the republican federation of educational and sports robotics, the management of the university plans to open a "Smart Museum". Moreover, the university management has signed an innovation cooperation agreement with the city of high technologies by Innopolis in Tatarstan. There, Kazakh students will be able to study at one of the leading universities of Tatarstan. Such an exchange of experience will make the digital future even closer.

 - One of the main areas of focus will be the repurposing of the general education schools to IT majors. We are committed to do that. In January this year, an agreement was reached on training 20 IT specialists at the Institute of Innopolis in Tatarstan.

IT technologies are widely used in medicine, construction, education, services and manufacturing.  In Kyzylorda, construction of an IT quarter for the integration of information technology professionals and enterprises is currently under way. The city officials are working on the implementation of the Smart City concept.
