Kazakhstan to produce 1,500 ventilators by September 20
Kazakh Government instructed a company “Kazakhstan and Aselsan Engineering” (KAE) to install 1,500 ventilators in 297 hospitals of the country by September 20. The company plans to produce the first batch of 750 ventilators by the end of August, while the second batch is pledged to be manufactured by 20th of the next month. This became known during Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov’s visit to the enterprise. He was reported that all medical staff will pass a special training, and the warranty service for medical devices will be up to 37 months. The enterprise also considers the possibility of producing Kazakh thermal imagers for remote temperature measurement.
Yeraly Tugzhanov also visited “Bolashak-2019” LLP that established manufacturing of medical masks with a production capacity of up to two million items per month. He made a positive assessment of the enterprise’s work and assured that the Government is ready to comprehensively support domestic manufacturers.
After that, the Kazakh Deputy PM reviewed the construction work of the National Research Oncology Center and the work of the project office for oncology. In the future, the center is expected to provide citizens with high-tech assistance in the early diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms. Yeraly Tugzhanov noted that the center will become a coordinator at the national level in the creation of an integrated model of cancer care. It will start with primary healthcare, including all regional oncology centers and six high-tech radiation oncology centers.
