Coronavirus spread growth stops in Kazakhstan, Health Ministry says
The novel coronavirus is receding – less and less positive cases of infection are recorded in Kazakhstan. The growth of the spread of COVID-19 in the country has been stopped, stated official spokesperson of Kazakh Health Ministry Bagdat Kozhakhmetov on August 10, at a press briefing. He said that the country has passed the critical period.
“The growth of the spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan has now been stopped. The situation has stabilized and is under the full control of the authorities, the health care system, including the sanitary and epidemiological service. Thus, we can say with full confidence that the country has passed the critical period,” Kozhakhmetov said.
However, this is no reason to relax. He said that the next most important stage in the fight against COVID-19 will be a further decrease in the incidence and mortality rates not only from the virus, but also from other factors. Kozhakhmetov also said that sanitary rules should not be forgotten, and they still need to be strictly followed.
