COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan reach 21,327

12 people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Kazakhstan. 547 more coronavirus cases were registered in the country, including 72 in Nur-Sultan and 54 in Almaty, reported Kazakh Health Ministry. The infection spread is 2.6 percent.

The total number of the infected reached 21,327, involving 3,788(+72) in Nur-Sultan, 3,716(+54) in Almaty, 1,609(+53) in Shymkent, 472(+15) in Akmola region, 828(+51) in Aktobe region, 701(+20) in Almaty region, 1,617(+11) in Atyrau region, 742(+46) in East Kazakhstan region, 683(+13) in Zhambyl region, 1,431(+42) in West Kazakhstan region, 2,219(+43) in Karagandy region, 471(+12) in Kostanai region, 653(+19) in Kyzylorda region, 478(+6) in Mangystau region, 709(+35) in Pavlodar region, 378(+20) in North Kazakhstan region and 832(+35) in Turkistan region.

1,066 more asymptomatic carriers have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, including 148 in Atyrau region and 127 in Karagandy region. Their total number in Kazakhstan reached 16,639.

The number of recovered patients is 12,933. 178 people died.

Today Kazakh President will announce new measures to respond to coronavirus spread and will assess the current situation. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold a meeting with Members of the Government and governors of regions, reported his Press Secretary.
