 COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan grow to 19,750
Four more people died from coronavirus in the past day, including three in Almaty and one in Akmola region.
As Kazakh Health Ministry reported, 465 more coronavirus cases have been registered over the past 24 hours, involving 67 in Nur-Sultan and 54 in East Kazakhstan region. The infection spread is 2.4 percent.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country reached 19,750, including 3,613(+67) in Nur-Sultan, 3,549(+19) in Almaty, 1,482(+36) in Shymkent, 414(+23) in Akmola region, 716(+23) in Aktobe region, 645(+15) in Almaty region, 1,584(+24) in Atyrau region, 609(+54) in East Kazakhstan region, 647(+10) in Zhambyl region, 1,305(+38) in West Kazakhstan region, 2,080(+46) in Karagandy region, 420(+25) in Kostanai region, 615(+19) in Kyzylorda region, 462(+6) in Mangystau region, 593(+25) in Pavlodar region, 302(+15) in North Kazakhstan region and 714(+20) in Turkistan region.
883 more asymptomatic carriers of coronavirus were reported in the last day, including 120 in Karagandy region. The number of such cases in Kazakhstan increased to 13,560. Recovered patients grew to 12,220. 140 could not survive.
Recently, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed Alexey Tsoy the Kazakh Health Minister. Former Minister Yelzhan Birtanov is in hospital with coronavirus and pneumonia.
