COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan exceed 13,500

Kazakhstan registered six more coronavirus-linked deaths last night, including four in Nur-Sultan, one in West Kazakhstan region and one in Karagandy region. The overall death toll for Kazakhstan now stands at 67.

Meantime, 239 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Kazakhstan in the last 24 hours, including 18 in Almaty, 27 in Nur-Sultan, 52 in Karagandy region, five in Atyrau region, 30 in Shymkent, 15 in West Kazakhstan region, 14 in Kyzylorda region, 13 in Almaty region, five in Zhambyl region, 17 in Aktobe region, five in Turkistan region, 14 in Mangystau region, 10 in Pavlodar region, 11 in East Kazakhstan region, one in Kostanai region and two in Akmola region. The infection growth rate is 1.8 percent.

To date, there are 13,558 coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan, including 2,957 in Almaty, 2,570 in Nur-Sultan, 1,290 in Karagandy region, 1,232 in Atyrau region, 1,022 in Shymkent, 878 in West Kazakhstan region, 484 in Kyzylorda region, 470 in Almaty region, 462 in Zhambyl region, 444 in Aktobe region, 416 in Turkistan region, 357 in Mangystau region, 296 in Pavlodar region, 215 in East Kazakhstan region, 209 in Kostanai region, 184 in Akmola region and 72 in North Kazakhstan region.

A total of 8,345 COVID-19 patients in Kazakhstan reported to have recovered, which makes more than a half of the overall case count.

Meanwhile, number of coronavirus cases registered among infected people without any symptoms, who are not involved in the overall statistics, is also growing. 393 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were detected in Kazakhstan in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of such cases to 2,529.
