COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan exceed 13,000

Kazakhstan confirmed two more deaths in the capital and Pavlodar region over the past day.

According to Kazakh Health Ministry, 215 more people were infected with coronavirus in the past 24 hours, including 42 in Nur-Sultan, 41 in Karagandy region, 27 in West Kazakhstan region. The total number of cases in the country is 13,074. The infection spread is 1.7 percent.

2,520(+42) cases were reported in Nur-Sultan, 2,904(+22) in Almaty, 978(+22) in Shymkent, 177(+1) in Akmola region, 401 in Aktobe region, 446(+5) in Almaty region, 1,222(+9) in Atyrau region, 199(+9) in East Kazakhstan region, 441(+11) in Zhambyl region, 845(+27) in West Kazakhstan region, 1,188(+41) in Karagandy region, 205(+3) in Kostanai region, 465 in Kyzylorda region, 331(+3) in Mangystau region, 284(+16) in Pavlodar region, 65(+1) in North Kazakhstan region and 403(+3) in Turkistan region.

On June 8, 339 cases were registered among infected people without any symptoms, who are not involved in the overall statistics. Their number reached 1,696.

The number of recovered patients grew to 7,737. 58 people died.
