Coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan approach 13,000

According to Kazakh Health Ministry, 165 more cases of coronavirus were registered in the past day in Kazakhstan, including 32 in Almaty and 24 in Nur-Sultan. The infection spread is 1.3 percent.

The total number of infected people in the country amounted to 12,859, including 2,478(+24) in Nur-Sultan, 2,882(+32) in Almaty, 956(+14) in Shymkent, 176(+1) in Akmola region, 401 in Aktobe region, 441(+15) in Almaty region, 1,213(+11) in Atyrau region, 190(+5) in East Kazakhstan region, 430(+7) in Zhambyl region, 818(+13) in West Kazakhstan region, 1,147(+18) in Karagandy region, 202(+2) in Kostanai region, 465(+4) in Kyzylorda region, 328(+3) in Mangystau region, 268(+11) in Pavlodar region, 64 in North Kazakhstan region and 400(+5) in Turkistan region.

On June 7, 2020, 313 people were infected with coronavirus, but without any symptoms, bringing the total number of such cases to 1,357. It was previously decided not to involve these cases in the overall statistics. 

7,376 patients managed to recover from the deadly virus. The country’s death toll from COVID-19 reached 56 with three more deaths.
