COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan approach 10,000

According to the Kazakh Health Ministry, 356 more COVID-19 cases were registered in Kazakhstan in the last 24 hours, including 48 in Nur-Sultan, 84 in Almaty, 32 in Shymkent, two in Akmola region, seven in Almaty region, 21 in Atyrau region, 23 in East Kazakhstan region, three in Zhambyl region, 51 in West Kazakhstan region, 34 in Karagandy region, six in Kyzylorda region, 40 in Mangystau region and five in Pavlodar region. The infection spread grew 3.7 percent.

To date, there are 9,932 COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan, including 1,868 in Nur-Sultan, 2,462 in Almaty, 762 in Shymkent, 151 in Akmola region, 304 in Aktobe region, 326 in Almaty region, 980 in Atyrau region, 97 in East Kazakhstan region, 365 in Zhambyl region, 544 in West Kazakhstan region, 788 in Karagandy region, 136 in Kostanai region, 330 in Kyzylorda region, 217 in Mangystau region, 197 in Pavlodar region, 51 in North Kazakhstan region and 354 in Turkistan region.

A total of 4,900 COVID-19 patients in Kazakhstan reported to have recovered. The overall coronavirus-related death toll in the country stands at 37.
