Fight against COVID-19 in Kazakhstan is not over yet, Tokayev says
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the third meeting of the National Council of Public Trust that despite the fact that the country passed the COVID-19 peak, the fight against the infection is not over yet.
“Today we are meeting under special circumstances. Coronavirus made major changes to the way we work. Our country passed the peak of the spread of the pandemic, but the fight against the coronavirus epidemic in Kazakhstan is not over yet. This epidemic is very dangerous. Coronavirus significantly changed the values of the modern world,” President Tokayev said.
Tokayev added that the issues of healthcare development, self-sufficiency, cooperation and responsibility became particularly relevant now.
“In this regard, the fundamental changes are expected in the public service and in all spheres of the public life. Our country faced a great challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic. The people of Kazakhstan have never been afraid of challenges. We once again demonstrated our unity,” President Tokayev emphasized.
The third meeting of the National Council of Public Trust chaired by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was held online. The development of human capital was on the agenda. The session participants discussed the development of education and health.
