COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan reach 3,273
Coronavirus spread is expected to decrease in Nur-Sultan in May, said spokesperson for the city's public healthcare department Saule Kisikova.
“The situation is stabilizing. In the last two days there was a good detection of new cases as a result of the ongoing preventive work, which means that the capabilities and the list of tested patients expanded. We are carrying out express testing and preventive monitoring of medical staff in all medical and social institutions. It is a good thing when we register the infected people without symptoms, not in progressive stage,” said Saule Kisikova.
Meanwhile, according to the latest data, 631 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Nur-Sultan, the second number-wise after Almaty with 988 cases. 198 people were infected in Kyzylorda region, 192 in Shymkent, 149 in Karagandy region, 146 in West Kazakhstan region, 135 in Almaty region, 135 in Atyrau region, 128 in Pavlodar region, 124 in Turkistan region, 119 in Zhambyl region, 99 in Akmola region, 82 in Aktobe region, 49 in Kostanai region, 48 in Mangystau region, 30 in North Kazakhstan region and 20 in East Kazakhstan region.
Thus, the total number of coronavirus cases in the state reached 3,273. 858 people recovered. 25 died.
