Kazakhstan to start using blood plasma in fight against COVID-19
The use of blood plasma to treat patients infected with coronavirus can help to overcome the disease faster. Kazakh Health Ministry issued the relevant order that is currently under discussion. The plasma costs are also being calculated. The clinical protocol for treatment was revised on April 15.
“Transfusion of immune plasma has not been carried out yet. However, the Kazakh Health Ministry prepares to use this method of treatment,” said Aizhan Yesmagambetova, the Kazakh Chief State Sanitary Doctor.
The United States and Russia have already recognized the advantages of antibodies and the plasma in the fight against coronavirus.
