16 Kazakh citizens returned from Russia are infected with coronavirus
Kazakh citizens who returned home from Russia were reported to be infected with coronavirus. 16 people were engaged in a fly-in fly-out job there, including six residents from East Kazakhstan region, eight from Turkistan region and two from Zhambyl region.
According to the established regulation, an ambulance was called at the border crossing. The employees were immediately hospitalized. 16 patients were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 and then taken to the regional infectious hospital.
Medical staff said that the infected patients are in stable condition. Disinfection was carried out in the area of the disease. Overall, 63 cases of coronavirus were reported in the East Kazakhstan region. Two people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
A total of 1,757 COVID-19 cases were registered in Kazakhstan. 413 people recovered, 19 died.
