Coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan reach 1,735

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev asked citizens to comply with the quarantine. He tweeted that the peak of coronavirus has not passed yet.

 “The number of infected people with COVID-19 grows, but not exponentially which means that the measures were taken timely. We have not passed the peak. I ask Kazakh citizens to comply with quarantine. And thank medical staff, police officers, militaries, volunteers. It is important to draw attention to their safety,” posted President Tokayev on his Twitter account.

To date, 1,735 cases of coronavirus were registered in Kazakhstan. Almaty has the biggest number of 525 cases, followed by Nur-Sultan with 381 cases and Kyzylorda region with 149 cases.

401 people recovered; 19 died.
