Kazakhstan Receives Humanitarian Aid from China amidst COVID-19 Pandemic
The first shipment of medical humanitarian aid from the Chinese government to Kazakhstan to contribute to fight the coronavirus pandemic has been delivered to the Almaty International Airport. The aid includes thermal imagers, medical gloves, coronavirus testing kits and disposable shoe covers, as well as medical safety glasses and protective suits for health workers. In the near future, additional batches of medical protective gear are expected to arrive from China, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
Last week, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with the Chinese President Xi Jinping during which the two leaders discussed medical humanitarian aid delivery from China.
