Pavlodar Region Reports First Coronavirus Case
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan has reached 125, Dauren Abayev, Kazakh Minister of Information and Social Development, said at an online briefing Friday. A new case was confirmed in the Pavlodar region. 60 cases have been confirmed in Nur-Sultan, 48 in Almaty, four in Karagandy, two in Shymkent, three in Zhambyl region, three in Atyrau region, one in Almaty region, one in Akmola region, one in Aktobe region, one in North Kazakhstan region and one in Pavlodar region. Kazakhstan has seen the first death from coronavirus. A 64-year-old woman died of COVID-19 in the Kazakh capital Thursday.
