President Tokayev Holds Government Emergency Response Meeting

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a government emergency response meeting with government members and officials. He instructed the government to allow a parent to able to stay at home with their children on paid leave during the coronavirus threat. He also introduced a ban on foreign business trips and travel for the civil servants. President Tokayev instructed to procure food and medical goods directly from the locals' producers and do so with maximum transparency. Special attention will be paid to ensuring hospitals are fully supplied with pharmaceuticals.
